Here you have the opportunity to store recordings from your Arlo surveillance cameras to your own or public ftp server.
The programs support TLS security on ftp.
The program package consists of three programs: ArloCam2Mqtt, ArloBase2Mqtt and Mqtt2Arlo.
The first two programs pull out data from the Arlo cameras and the base and then publish it to a Mqtt broker for further processing.
They also publish a separate message to the Mqtt broker if a recording has been registered.
Mqtt2Arlo is waiting for a message if there is movement registered and waiting a bit before it downloads this to its own local folder.
If ftp is enabled, it logs on and uploads the MP4 video and its associated snapshot JPG file to the ftp server.
In this way one would be able to have their own private archive, while at the same time linking it to an automation system such as
HomeSee Hs3 (via mcsMqtt plugins), Home Assistant, OpenHab etc.
As of today, the Python programs are compiled for Linux (pi) and Ubuntu 18.04 with support for Python 2.7 and 3.4. and we got versions to run on both windows and MacOs as well.
